NEW ENGLAND SHIPWRECKS

Tuesday, August 9, starting at 7 pm, the Searsport Historical Society will meet at Curtis Hall on Church Street and warmly welcome the guest speaker, Jon Johanson who will deliver an historic program about "NEW ENGLAND SHIPWRECKS". It promises to be a very interesting story, considering all the coves, cliffs, harbors, capes, points, islands, rivers & streams, etc that enter into the Atlantic Ocean from Connecticut in the south all the way North to Downeast Maine, plus the abhorrent storms that sometimes struck the area uninvited. A social period will follow, refreshments will be served and the public is cordially invited to attend.
